At TribalDDB, I developed the Twitter-blog Philips_VS together with Tim Voors, Bart Mol and Chris Baylis. With virals we stimulated followers to join a competition:

AR-game for O’Neill’s Hyperfreak.


Within augmented reality, you need to make your surfer perform great moves on a wave. The best surfers won a trip to Hawaii.

In-program promotion for Lay’s at MTV. Created at MTV with Robin Blitzblum and Alan Sperling.


Lay’s introduced a new flavor: Spareribs Chips. To draw attention for this new flavor among the audience of MTV we created the cowboy Chip Sparerib.


The goal: Find Chip Sparerib in the streets of Amsterdam and shoot him with your camera. The first shots of Chip won Fuji cameras. Clues to find Chip were given in several programs of MTV.

With art director Frank Mineur at TBWA\Direct Company we won the direct mail account of Disneyland Paris. The strategy was simple: put a little foretaste of the experience in every mail piece, a little Disney-magic.

Jordan Carwash believed their clients needed a extra push to visit them. By creating a ‘clean text’ on dirty cars, the owners of the cars kept on seeing the reminder to visit Jordan until they actually cleaned the car.

In May 2010, ad agencies started to discover Foursquare. Their employees checked-in daily to become Mayor of the venue. That fact revealed my insight to seize a a nice opportunity to hit my target audience right between the eyes.


For more than 50 agencies, I created new venues. The venues were created on the same location as these agencies. The name of the venues contained the name of the agency and a strong call for action. With these new venues I appeared to my target audience everyday.

Christmas Texts.


T-Mobile offered a plan with unlimited texts. To prove that you could do anything with your texts, we created a Christmas Texts Market in The Hague. By sending texts you controlled the entire market. For example: choir on - choir off - choir louder - choir softer - lights on - lights off - etcetera.


And if you texted Santa he would appear and hand you a gift. Created with Marcel Wortel at NOISE.

A viral success for the car insurance of Fortis ASR. With 85.000 views in the first week.


We took the happiest song ever (Walking on Sunshine) and created a remake of it with the most horrible sounds ever, the sounds of car crashes.

The interactive agency Qi was moving to a new location. Instead of focussing on the new location we paid an homage to the old location where we created so many great ideas.


Everybody who worked or had worked at Qi was asked to leave a tag in the old building.

An online experience to promote a phone for video calls. Created with Bram Oorthuizen at Qi. The agency gave me the opportunity to be involved in the project from A to Z.


Press 1 for Murder became an online whodunnit.

By video calling your friends you could reveal the killer.

It seemed like sites of big ad boys were hacked. In reality, I took advantage of the fact that these boys forgot to claim their domains.


The case was a finalist at the Cannes Lions festival.

Iced Teabag for Liptonice.


If you bought a sixpack of Liptonice you received an Iced Teabag for free. A plastic teabag filled with water. If you place the teabag in your fridge you could use it as an ice cube for your ice tea.

Together with art director Martijn Rooij I created this billboard for Texaco at DMB&B.

Banner from 2004 for a truck insurance.


A full-page overlay before that term got popular. While visiting a site, a truck drove in front of the screen. At that moment a second banner fell from the header of the site creating damage.

A little activation experiment I did on my own.


I wondered if I could slow down cars in a dangerous curve by placing just a few flowers.


The experiment has been picked-up by several newspapers and traffic professionals. Currently, the city of Haarlem is considering to hire a professional company to do the experiment on a larger scale.

Making videocalls to 112 (911)


I came up with the idea for an application to make videocalls to 112 (the European 911). If you witness a crime you can capture the event with video and send the footage live to 112.


- The operator sees what the situation is and doesn't need further explanations from witnesses who are probably to nervous to be accurate. 

- The operator sees the exact location of the caller.

- All footage can be use in court.

- By connecting the criminal database with face recognition to the app criminals will be recognized on the spot.
